Just Let It Go
EDITED 1/6/09 - Changed to public.  Since my two friend responses were so positive, and one was linked in her journal.  Just please don't steal my angsty teenage children.  <3

Merry very late Christmas, [info]electrumqueen [info]electrumqueen !  Enjoy.  :D

Notes/backstory:  Emerson and Spencer had been dating for over a year.  Takes place after she graduates, halfway through the year.  She was raped two months ago [um, yeah, I changed that part of the plot] and has been depressed since then and began hallucinating these ‘spirit-shadows’ about one month ago.  She’s running away from home and will eventually settle in a city with a group of homeless people.

The Request:  “All that’s left to do is run” + snow + mittens
[oh, but I changed the mittens part to fingerless gloves.  Cos they’re just cooler like that.]

Emerson stared blankly at the letters in her hand, for the first time having second thoughts about running away. )

Okay, so I had this essay in US History.  Life in the eyes of an enlisted soldier in the Civil War.  And I went all out.  And now I feel the need to post it on my lj, cos I'm actually proud of it.  Not all that I wanted to do, but she only wanted three paragraphs six to seven sentences each, so I had to cut it off.  It's longer than required anyway.  So here it is, "Life in the Eyes of a Confederate Soldier":

Note:  Warning for graphic violence.

Quick post before I have to go work on homework:  any of you know any sites with good info on animal abuse, cruelty, slaughter, rights, etc?  I have to write a five to seven page research paper and that's what I chose.  *is major animal-lover*

Somebody PM'd me on ff.net the other day and asked for permission to write a sequel to my HP oneshot (No Fairy Tale Ending) from forever ago, and I said yes.  So last night she published it;  I'm really excited, it's wonderful.  She said so many wonderful things about me and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even if I think she's going overboard.  I don't deserve it, really.  XD

The link, in case you want to read it:  Not a fairy tale, but not an ending either

I finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist today.  The movie too.  It was sad but really good.  (I think I'm turning into a Roy Mustang fangirl!  Like I don't have enough to obsess about...  But he's awesome, so it's okay I guess.)  And I was just flipping through some fics on ff.net and I saw a Roy/Archer pairing.  That is just silly.  Not because of the yaoi, just because of the characters.  I mean, Roy and ARCHER?  Come on.  (Roy and Riza are meant to be!!!  But I know Andromeda will disagree.  We tend to do that a lot on pairings for some reason...)  'Nyway.  I have to go get some of my crap from Crystal's so I'll stop my rant here.

Wow, I haven't had much time to do this so far this week.  In my math class we switched to changing classes every other day (before we'd been doing pre-cal for half the class and stats for the other half and now we're alternating days) and it's made us have more homework, even if we do have two days to do it.  That homework has been giving me complete math overload.  Anyway.  And Will has been gone in Spanish so I've been the "substitute Will" for the past week.  So I've been stuck helping Jordan.  I had a mental breakdown the first two days.  It was actually kinda funny.  Madison was talking about trying to find a good name for a pig and I yelled out, "TON-TON!!!"  Y'know, Shizune's pig from Naruto.  No one got it.  I got a really strange look from Kenny.  Then I had a laughing fit.  I've had a lot of those this week.  We've had fun though.  Today was picture day too and I didn't go when I was supposed to 'cause I didn't wanna go to the gym.  Yeah, I was feeling lazy today.  (BTW, Madison named the pig Leonitus.  Don't ask, I have no idea.)  I ordered my class ring yesterday, and I got crimson gold.  Which is rly rly pretty.  It's gold with a reddish tint.  I'll take a pic and post it when I get it in (sometime before Christmas supposedly).  And I think my teachers conspire to give us all the homework they possibly can on the same day.  And projects too.  Seriously, it HAS to be a friggin conspiracy.  SO not right.  'Nyway though.  Oh, and I got an early birthday present!  New phone.  A red Razr.  So awesome.  ^^  Anyway, I have other stuff to do.  Adios amigos!

Wow.  My legs are rubbed raw from walking all day.  I've helped my mom's friend Faye and her family move for the past two days.  Yeah, the one whose oldest son I've had a crush on for a few years now.  My aunt and two of my cousins came to help and now Kendra has a huge crush on the middle son.  It's HILARIOUS.  I had fun though.  Me and Libby hung out most of the time, the one who got me hooked on Naruto and FMA.  I officially have a Naruto name now, btw.  It's Anko.  And she says something about a bug and I automatically go, "Shino!"  Yeah, it was funny.  I mentioned how she was a bad influence on me, getting me hooked on anime shows and stuff.  I also thought my mom was going to kill me because I let her write all over my jeans.  They're old and have paint on them anyway, and plus it's washable.  I like them though, I wish I could do it in Sharpie, but my mom would kill me for sure.  And I walked STRAIGHT INTO A GLASS DOOR.  I felt *so* retarded.  But I laughed.  It didn't hurt really, I have a hard skull.  I just burst out laughing while Faye was like, "OMG, are you okay?!"  Hilarious and stupidifying.  (Is that a word?  I don't think so, but oh well.)  Ooh, I came up with a word today!  It's ninjalicious.  ^^  I was bored.  Obviously.  I was trying to come up with words to describe Gaara to help with a plot bunny and I just thought, "NINJALICIOUS!"  for no apparent reason.  No, I don't think he's sexy, that's Libby's job.  Not that he's ugly, he wouldn't be bad looking if he were real, but he's a fictional, drawn character.  But anyway.  Off to go work on homework.  Stupid precalculus.

Just Let It Go
Well, today was the first day of school.  I can now officially say I'm a junior.  And I already have a project due Friday, one due next Tuesday, a paper on next Tuesday, and a quiz tomorrow.  And I have a textbook for pre-calculus, one for statistics and I may get another one for the same class.  Those I won't have to carry around with me first semester though, thank goodness.  I will have to carry around my chemistry textbook though, but I haven't gotten that one yet.  Anyway.  Chaotic day.  We're all trying to figure out the bell schedule.  I think we're going to go to school at 7:45 on Mondays and 7:25 on the others.  Something about the departments getting together on Monday mornings to make sure everyone's on the same curriculum material and all that stuff.  Idiotic.  Why can't they do that after school like NORMAL people?  Eugh.  Anyway, my neighbor's working on my computer.  I hope I get it back soon, working on this one is annoying.  I have so much to catch up on on FF.net too.  After I finish doing research for this stupid paper.

Back to homework.

Eugh.  Well, my computer's messed up so I'm stuck using the one in the living room until I can get it working or we get our neighbor to come look at it.  He works on computers for a living (I think...).  Anyway, he's who we call when we need computer help.  And I think Crystal got me sick - I've been sneezing all afternoon and my nose is stopped up and my throat's kinda sore.  A cold in the middle of summer, how wonderful is that?  [/headdesk]

Anyway, the Naruto Hundo, err, marathon is on.  They're showing all the episodes again and ending with the 100th episode tomorrow at 9:30 for the first time in English.  So I've seen the first 70 or so episodes?  All the ones I haven't seen are showing from 6 am to 10 pm tomorrow.  No way I'll be able to get away with watching the whole thing, I don't even think I'll want to for that matter, so I have to find tapes to record it.  But I may end up watching a lot of it if I feel sick tomorrow.  Anyways, off to be lazy.  Adios.

Just Let It Go
I got back Saturday.  It's so nice to be back in my own bed and have a computer...  Let's just say that there were lots of people in a little house at the beach.  Crystal ended up not going because her parents decided at the last minute that she couldn't.  We (meaning Mom) took some awesome pictures of the last night we were there;  there was this storm, and it made for absolutely *gorgeous* pictures.  I'll upload and post later.  And my blackmail picture.  *grins evilly*

Anyway.  Libby got me hooked on Fullmetal Alchemist while we were down there too.  And I got my school schedule for this year.  I have all female teachers, how weird is that?  And I have...six.  Because one of my classes is year round and I have two with the same teacher.  But anyway, I've met five of them, not including my homeroom teacher, and I like them.  I don't think this year should be too bad.  But anyway, I have Round Table with Ms. Swales first block (that's like a reading/discussion type thing, I think).  Second I have Pre-Calculus/AP Stat with Ms. Reynolds, third is Honors Chem with Ms. Westergard and fourth Spanish III with Ms. Fritz.  And next semester first block will be Honors US History with Ms. Haddock (I've heard scary stories about her, but I don't think she's too bad), second is Pre-Cal and AP Stat with Ms. Reynolds (that's the year round one), third is Spanish IV, and fourth is H. English III with Ms. Henry, which is the only one I haven't met.  And they're starting school at 7:25 this year.  Eugh.  I can't find the new schedule anywhere, so I don't even know when it ends.  Argh.  Maybe Jessie will know...

Well, anyway, I've gotta go do the laundry.

BEACH!!!

Just Let It Go
YAY!  We're leaving for the beach tonight.  But Crystal may not be able to go.  They went to the beach yesterday and just left about thirty minutes ago, and seeing as we're three hours from the beach and mom wants to leave by six, they may not be back in time.  And we can't meet somewhere because there's nowhere convenient for both of us.  I know, they've known for *ages* that we were leaving today in the eveningtime, so why'd they take off if they wouldn't be back in time?  Well, they're stupid.  Sorry.  I had to get that out.  Anyway, mom's home and I need to help finish packing and cleaning and all that mess.

Like the title says, awesomeness.  We're leaving for the beach Monday evening until Saturday, more on that later.  But yesterday was so awesome!  I went to this horse expo.  The clinics and booths were nothing too special, but the evening show, "Equus Extraordinaire"?  That was just amazing.

I'm boooooooored.  Why can't someone log on!  I wanna talk to Libby, I haven't talked to her in while and I'm gonna give her an earful (err, screenfulofIM's) on getting me addicted to Naruto.  (On that note, why won't this stupid episode upload, I wants to sees it!)  *coughcough*  Anyway.  I'm trying to type my ToS fic's chapter one.  I also found a random number on the margin of this paper--maybe it's the last part of a phone number?  I dunno.  Anyways.  I worked at Lisa's barn again today.  And after this deal for trading work for riding lessons is over, I am NOT gonna work for her again.  I'll stop talking about that before I go into a complaining-rant.  Agh, anyway.  Back to typing.
